Christmas 2008
It’s Christmas Eve but Christmas is over for me. We celebrated last Friday night before Brian and Liz took off for California. All of the kids are going their separate ways for Christmas Day. Fortunately Steve and I are invited to go with Brandon and Sharon to her Dad’s house so we aren’t left out.
Our party friday night was so much fun. All 6 of my little grandsons were here and each one delights me in their own special way. I made each of them a quilt with a story book to go along with. I spent a week early in december in Gooding Idaho at my sister’s house where I sequestered myself and sewed like a crazy woman to get all 6 quilts done.
Logan is the oldest, 6 years old and in first grade. I found Star Wars books on a first grade reading level so his quilt is Star Wars.
Karson’s quilt is made from a Curious George panel that was to be made into a book. I cut the pictures apart, did a little twist and turn, and it is darling.
Aidan is my little Tater-Tot. This is the only quilt I made from a pattern, Quilt Soup’s Smooth Sailing. The duck faces reminded me so much of Aidan that it had to be his quilt.
Conner got a quilt that I started making a long time ago and it was supposed to be a Noah’s Ark quilt. I didn’t like how it was going so I changed all the rules, cut the kit fabric into squares for the background setting, and now I love it. All of the animals have a touch of 3D texture to them.
Kyler was Clifford the Big Red Dog for Halloween so I thought he would like a Clifford quilt. As it turns out, this one is my favorite. I love the colors.
Guinness loves baseball and monkeys so I designed a quilt with both.
Much to the chagrin of Sam, our huge resident cat, I got myself a Christmas present yesterday. Her name is Christmas Joy.
Now I’m no longer the only female in the house.

Hi, I came across your web site a few hours ago and have got through all the posts slowly. I decided I would make my firstpost. Unsure of what to say but here goes. Informative blog. Will call back in a while to hear what else youve got to tell me.
